*Slaps roof of car*, “This badboy can hold so much HEMI in it”

It’ll probably wont look like that, but something like this-

Kinja'd!!!

Hertz special

5.7 and not 6.4 because- 1. Couldn’t find any nearby and 2. I’m afraid if I try the 6.4 first it will ruin the 5.7 for me completely, I’m being practical.

Should be able to put up a review tomorrow

Funny you of all people should say that, Jake ;)

Besides, it’s pretty tame by Oppo standards.

Good onya.  I love these cars, if for no other reason than it’s almost the only way you can have a V8 RWD sedan in purple.

The closest competitor is the Chevy SS which I have driven. But used prices and MPGs are ridiculous on that thing so I am doubtful if I would buy one in the future. This on the other hand will be unchanged till 2020 and you get better deals and newer features with 85% of the Chevy’s 6.2 V8 performance .

I’ve rented a 201 1 (auto) and test driven a 2015 ( manual) 5.7 Challenger . For a while I had actually   wanted one for commuting, but when the timing and finances had finally arrived for me to upgrade my commuter my tastes had changed somewhat.

For everyday use the 5.7 is plenty, but the appeal of the Scat Pack is undeniable. The Hemi is the best-sounding of the current   ’Murican V8s.

Rented V6 Chargers and Chrysler 300s before. Found the lack of V8 very glaring. I will keep my mind open despite some obvious shortcomings of both vehicles.

A friend of mine has an older R/T that he’s massaged with intake, exhaust, a tune, and suspension work. It’s still slower than my WRX . He had to eat a big piece of humble pie after we proved it on the track. :)

It might have been a different story had we gone to the drag strip instead.

Yeah, I wouldn’t take that or a Challenger on a track. But it should handle every thing else including the occasional twisty road quite well for its size and weight. Have been watching a few reviews...

I was actually considering a Challenger as my next car . The best in the lineup for me would be the SRT 392 W idebody. I just can’t hack the price and the ongoing cost for tires - and you know there would be a need for tires!

I test drove a 5.7 and a 6.4 ,the sound alone is worth it. However, after seeing the build quality on my BIL '15 (which he got rid of because of the build quality) I can't justify it as a DD.

Didn’t find anything glaring in this 2018 I drove just sometime back. Perhaps because they had 3 years to refine it and this one wasn’t trashed like most rental chargers I have been in.

His was the suspension and some of the under carriage. His suspension was wearing out with only 30k on it. The bushings were shot. Any time he went around 70, something was rattling near the rear wheels, he thought it was a trim piece not secured correctly. Apparently there's a lot of known issues with Charger front end suspensions.

Otoh, my wife’s uncle has had a problem free ‘16 Challenger since new with more miles on it. I’m just afraid I’d get stuck with a crappy one if I pulled the trigger lol.

5.7's are very nice, but man are the 6.4's just that bit better in every way.

Just posted the review sometime back. 5.7 is plenty for me considering fuel, tire, insurance costs and reliability. I would be getting tickets every day if I had the 6.4
